M-Y Books Village Folk Books
This tells the story of a hardworking yet lonely robot, picked on by the local lads, who finds friendship in the form of  a courageous little girl, Thomasina Proud, who teaches him to speak and smile.

He's massive, he's strong and he can do almost anything involving lifting, carrying or mechanical things. Yet here we have a small child, able through her own self confidence, to impart some of her enthusiasm for life to the giant robot.

With beautiful illustrations throughout, the story highlights how self‑expression can be achieved through the devoted and selfless friendship of another.
