I have been fascinated by photoghaphy from a very early age, so much so that my school mates used to call me "the tourist" because I always had a camera and was always snapping away at anything and everything that interested me, which was most things.

When I left school I went to college to study Art and Physics and soon found that the two subjects were mutually incompatible on the college curriculum and dropped out after the first year. After college I went into the electronics industry and spent my first month's pay on a Canon FTB SLR.

In 1990, after another stint at college, I gained qualifications in electronics and went to work for Polaroid in their Electronic Imaging Division. Later I was headhunted by Innovation TK, a professional film scanner and telecine manufacturer.
