I was fascinated by photoghaphy and electronics from a very early age. As a boy I was always taking apart machines and mechanisms apart to see how they worked, occasionaly repairing them and usually putting them back together in working order. When I wasn't doing that I would be using my Dad's camera to record the people and places around me.
After college I joined the now defunct Rank Radio International as a repair technician working on radios and cassette recorders before moving to a local music shop called Ware Music to set up a repair department fixing all manner of electronic musical equipment but mostly analogue and digital keyboards. When the owner of Ware Music retired and closed the business I went on to Claude Lyons and worked as a development technician in their R&D department.
In 1990, after another stint at college, I gained further qualifications in electronics and went to work for Polaroid UK in their Electronic Imaging Division. Later I was headhunted by Innovation TK, a professional movie film scanner and telecine manufacturer where I worked for five years as a telecine engineer and photographer.
Since the demise of ITK in 2002 I have working freelance as an electronics consultant, web designer, photographer, digital imaging specialist and artist.
In addition to my electronics consultancy I also do web and book design work and have built and maintain a number of unique and distinctive websites for discerning clients as well as having designed hundreds of books.
